Dodgers’ Clayton Kershaw’s 2024 Season is Over, What’s Next For Future Hall-of-Famer? [Video]

Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw’s season is over, the team announced. Retirement may be next for the veteran southpaw.

Kershaw, 36, hasn’t pitched for the Dodgers since Aug. 30. The Dodgers traveled to Phoenix to face the Arizona Diamondbacks in what many thought would be a preview of the postseason.

After just one-plus inning, Kershaw made an untimely departure after a recurring toe injury resurfaced. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts approached the mound after Kershaw gave up a solo home run to Corbin Carroll.

That very well could’ve been the last pitch Kershaw threw in his career. However, Kershaw has a player option for 2025 if he wishes to continue playing.
