It’s breezy this afternoon as warmer air and higher humidity move in from the south, helping to cause a bigger temperature difference than normal from north to south across the region. We’ll have upper 80s near the Kansas border, low to mid 80s around Omaha, and mid and upper 70s north of I-80.
There will be a few spotty showers to dodge this afternoon, but spotty storms will start to kick off as early as 5 p.m. across the area. By 7, a few more storms will start to pop up. The strongest storms will continue until about midnight, but it will take another couple hours for all the rain to end.
