Today, Channel 3 stopped by one small but mighty shop in Canton, Applegate Farm Market, known for its local goods and epic cider donuts.

They shared the secret to their donuts and what makes them the best in CT.

“Amazingly enough there’s a ton of science with this and without the help of a baker who came in and helped us, we wouldn’t be where we’re at. I tweaked it quite a bit and we think we have the best one out there,” said Robert Bahre, Owner, Applegate Farm Market.

Customers agree they’ve picked the right formula.

“Kayla has the day off from school and she said, ‘I want to get a donut and my favorite is Applegate Farms.’ So, here we are!” said Faith, Applegate Farm Market customer.
