A Swanton family farm is on the lookout for any old pumpkins you have lying around after Halloween.The reason? To feed its hungry pigs. The Snowdrop Acres Farm in Swanton has 26 pigs, and they love to eat pumpkins.Eli Yandow’s family owns the farm. They just started welcoming pigs onto their farm this past year and hope to double the amount they have in the coming months. He says some of the nutrients in pumpkins actually help keep the pigs warm.With the community’s help, he says he can make sure each of these piggies has a blanket come wintertime.”We don’t care how far you are coming from; just bring us pumpkins!
