FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — It’s that time of year when allergies are everywhere, especially in the nose.
Jaime Turner, a physician associate at ENT and Allergy Center in Fayetteville said they are starting to see an uptick in “congestion, crusting, nosebleeds, even burning in the nose, irritation, all that kind of stuff.”
Turner said he and his team are on the lookout for infections and opportunities to educate patients on how to take care of their nose. “Part of that is using saline to rinse out the nose and to add moisture, using a humidifier where you sleep, and then also using things like Vaseline or triple antibiotic in the nose to help heal areas of irritation.” Turner said.
