Enjoy the glow before BLINK with these two Cincinnati events [Video]

CINCINNATI (WXIX) – The Queen City will soon be illuminated with dozens of art installations and lights as organizers prepare for one of the biggest events in Cincinnati: BLINK.

While the four-day festival technically starts on Thursday, people can start celebrating the glow as early as Wednesday with two bright and colorful events.

If you’re a runner or someone who wants to get into running, the BLINK in 5K may be a great place to start. It’s also free to reserve a spot.

You and dozens of other strangers will run through the city from Findlay Market to The Banks and finish at Washington Park for celebratory drinks. Altogether, it’s about 3.2 miles with 74 feet of elevation gain.

As a friendly reminder from the organizers, this is a “fun run,” not a race. Additionally, participants need to follow the traffic laws since the roads will not be shut down for the 5K.
