Latino Conservation Week kicks off Saturday, Sept. 23, with many family-friendly outdoor events. Many local organizations and businesses are hosting organized hikes and other nature-based activities.
Many of the events require RSVP or registration to ensure comfort for those who participate.
Saturday, 14th Bird watching and event kick off
The celebration of activities begins with a bird watching walk, hosted at the WaterShed with Golden Eagle Audubon . Be sure to bring your best running shoes, as the path runs over 1.5 miles.
It will start at 9:00 a.m. and goes on until 11:00 a.m. registration is required.
Another kickoff event will be hosted later in the afternoon, at the MK Nature Center and the Armstrong Municipal Park in Boise.
