Fighting Eel opening 5th location on Oahu | Business [Video]

HONOLULU (Island News) — Fighting Eel, a popular clothing retailer with four stores on Oahu, is opening a fifth location in Manoa, Island News has learned.

The Honolulu-based company’s designer/owner, Lan Chung, purchased the 3,428-square-foot building along East Manoa Road across from the Finance Factors Manoa Center for $3.4 million in July, property records show.

On Friday, Fighting Eel filed paperwork for a new store at the building with an estimated build-out at around $50,000.

Fighting Eel, which started in 2003, sells women’s, men’s and baby clothing, accessories and home goods. It has stores in Downtown Honolulu, Kahala, Kailua and Kapolei.

It’s not known yet when its new Manoa location will open yet. Island News has reached out to Fighting Eel for comment.
