ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – The week has begun and a cold and sunny note. But, big changes are ahead. Sunday is a First Alert Weather Day. Rain and storms could impact late-weekend plans.
Sunshine has sent temperatures into the upper 40s and lower 50s around metro Atlanta this afternoon. It’s a pretty day, but still cold enough for you winter jacket. A light breeze is making it feel even chillier.
Plan on a dry and mostly clear evening. Temperatures cool back into the low to mid-40s around the metro by 8 p.m. Temperatures plunge into the upper 30s outside of the immediate metro by 8 p.m.
Christmas Eve begins seasonably cold and frosty. Temperatures bottom-out in the low to mid-30s inside I-285 before 9 a.m. Atlanta warms into the lower 50s by noon; peaking in the upper 50s before 4 p.m.
