ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – The weekend is ending much like how it began; cold and clear. Looking ahead, a gloomier and slightly warmer weather pattern is set to develop through the week.

Dress warmly for evening plans. Temperatures are cooling through the 40s and back into the 30s. Some communities will already be approaching freezing by 9 p.m. Areas of frost will develop this evening.

Plan on a mostly clear, cold and frosty Monday morning.

Temperatures warm into the low to mid-40s by noon Monday. We’ll peak in the upper 40s and lower 50s around the metro by 4 p.m. Sunshine, again, rules the First Alert Forecast Monday.

A few clouds sneak in Monday evening and night.

There will be a jump in temperature Tuesday. Many metro communities warm into the upper 50s Christmas Eve afternoon. A few spots will reach 60°, under a partly cloudy sky.

Changes are ahead by the middle of the week –
