FIRST ALERT: Frigid night ahead; stays cold Tuesday [Video]

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – It’s going to be clear and downright cold tonight! Temperatures will plummet to the 20s! Tonight is a FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY for a widespread freeze with patchy frost possible.

Isolated flurries in the mountains tonight

A re-enforcing shot of cold air will move into north Georgia tonight and bring with it a slight chance of a few flurries in the mountains.

If you live in Clay, Rabun, Union, Towns or Fannin counties, there’s a 20% chance of a flurry or two after 9 p.m. tonight with no accumulations.

Metro Atlanta will stay dry.
