MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) -Some areas of dense fog continue to linger across eastern Arkansas and Coahoma County in north Mississippi. Rain and storms will become widespread this afternoon and a few storms could be strong to severe. Storms will be capable of producing heavy rainfall, damaging wind, small hail, and a slight chance of a tornado. The severe threat is overall low for the Action News 5 coverage area, but everyone should stay weather alert.
TODAY: Cloudy with rain and thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening along with a South wind at 5 to 10 MPH shifting Northeast late in the day and high temperatures in the mid 60s.
