First Alert: Tracking a chilly start to December [Video]

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – December is here! And the colder air will continue to be our main weather story for the next few days as winter-like air hangs around over the region through the middle of the upcoming work and school week. Nights will be chilly with lows dropping into the upper 20s and lower 30s, and even the afternoons will stay fairly cool with highs in the middle and upper 50s.

It’s a cold out-the-door start this morning across the area. Temperatures are in the 20s and 30s with a slight breeze, making it feel colder when outside. A fair sky this morning will give way to plenty of sunshine this afternoon. Highs will top out in the 50s with a west wind around 5 mph.

Tonight, lows will again fall into the 20s and 30s under a mainly clear sky and a light north breeze.
