NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) -We have multiple First Alert Weather Days this week due to dangerous heat that’s expected to grip the Midstate.
Dangerous heat, poor air quality
A code orange air quality alert is in effect for the Midstate today. Those sensitive to poor air quality (i.e. Small children, the elderly and those with asthma) should limit time outside, especially this afternoon.
We are also focused on higher heat today with highs in the mid to upper 90s this afternoon. It won’t be terribly humid, but it will still feel like we’re pushing near the triple digits this afternoon. We’ll have plenty of sunshine to go around today.
Tonight, will be mild with lows near 70 by tomorrow morning.
Highs tomorrow will be in the upper 90s and we may have the chance to make a run at that 100° mark in Nashville in the afternoon. The humidity still won’t be overwhelming, but heat will be enough alone to make you want to stick to …
