FIRST ALERT WEATHER: Debby Expected to Bring Heavy Rain to Parts of NCWV Starting Thursday Night [Video]

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) – Tropical Storm Debby is starting to stall over the Atlantic allowing it to strengthen yet again. As it moves along the East Coast, models are now expecting Debby to take a more inland route which includes NCWV in the cone of uncertainty. We won’t see a direct hit, but most areas to the east of I-79 can expect to see between 1-3 inches of rain from Thursday night until Saturday. The potential for flash flooding will rise as a result, especially in poor drainage and low-lying areas. There is still time for Debby’s track to change and will be something to monitor throughout the rest of the week. Michael Moranelli has the details in your First Alert Forecast.
