Good morning Mid-MO, and happy first weekend of the school year! 

As you are waking up and starting your morning, I’m giving you the yellow light as you could run into some thunderstorms. Showers and thunderstorms have already begun to develop and move through the area this morning, some of these could produce some gusty winds and short periods of heavy rainfall. Showers will then come to an end just after noon today. The region will be left with a mix of sunshine and clouds for the rest of your Saturday and reach 88 degrees for a high temperature.

Tonight we will stay calm and shower free with temperatures dropping into the low 70s, making tonight a good night to sleep with the windows open. 

Tomorrow marks the start of our warm up with temperatures skyrocketing back into the 90s to end the weekend. Humidity will also be on the …
