Forecast: Heavy rainfall overnight Saturday lingering into Sunday | Weather [Video]

Rainfall has exited Mid-Missouri for now but more showers and storms will be with us overnight and into Sunday.

Tonight

Showers will move in from the West leading to widespread heavy rainfall. 

Storms will progress to the East with heavy rainfall and lightning. Severe weather is not expected. 

Sunday

Storms will begin to exit by mid to late morning leaving us drier but with cloudy skies. 

Rainfall is needed

We can expect anywhere from 1-2 inches of rainfall across Central Missouri tonight through Sunday night. 

Drought conditions have begun to push back into Central Missouri, so this rainfall tonight will be very beneficial.

Fall officially starts at 7:43am on Sunday. Fall-like temperatures will be present through the first full week of fall.
