Former Clemson Tigers wide receiver Diondre Overton has died at the age of 26, officials with Clemson Athletics said Saturday.(Video above: Highlights of Diondre Overton at Clemson)The Guilford County Sheriff’s Office said that at about 2:30 a.m. on Sept. 7, deputies responded to a call about a loud party on Spring Mills Road in Overton’s hometown of Greensboro, North Carolina. While on the way to the scene, deputies were informed a shooting had occurred at the home. Upon arrival, deputies found Overton suffering from a gunshot wound.Authorities said that, despite immediate medical attention, Overton was pronounced dead at the scene.There have been no arrests at this time.
