He’s already been ordered to wear an electronic tag after losing one of his other legal battles. Now former French president Nicolas Sarkozy has gone on trial, accused of getting suitcases full of cash from Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi to illegally fund his successful 2007 presidential run.

If found guilty, he could face up to ten years in prison.
