Former Summerfield finance officer denies allegations of improper payouts [Video]

In 12 Investigates, the former Summerfield town finance officer, Dee Hall, is speaking out after she and former Town Manager Scott Whitaker were accused of authorizing improper payouts and other town policy violations.Hall says she first heard of the allegations being made against her and Whitaker when her phone started blowing up on Tuesday night. She watched the presentation that former state Auditor Beth Wood made on the town of Summerfield’s YouTube channel during the Town Council meeting. She says she was shocked and in disbelief.Hall was the town’s finance officer for over eight years until she and the other eight town employees resigned their positions over what they call a “toxic work environment” created by the new Town Council.
