Free parking in downtown chico during the holidays | News [Video]

CHICO, Calif. – Parking in downtown Chico is free every weekday during the holidays.

Anywhere you see designated 2-hour parking signs or long-term parking, you can park for free. But, you must follow the two-hour rule still, after that, you will have to pay. 

Downtown businesses like “Made in Chico” said it has helped bring more customers in.

The city is doing it to encourage more people to shop over the holiday season.

For years the city has offered free parking on Fridays in December. This year, the city extended it to every day for the entire month between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
