Friday night plans? If so, grab the umbrella [Video]

MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) –

An area of low pressure and a cold front will cross our area on Saturday. Ahead of it, showers will move into the area later on Friday evening… with rain becoming likely around Midnight. Showers will linger into the early morning hours of Saturday, then it will taper off. Thankfully, severe weather isn’t expected, and rainfall estimates from .5″ -1.5″ are possible. This rainfall will be helpful for our West AL Counties that suffer from a drought.

Ahead of the rain, expect another nice day for Friday. It will start cold with temps near the freezing mark, but highs will land in the low-mid 60s. A sun-filled morning will turn into a cloudier afternoon as the previously mentioned area of low pressure approaches. Showers won’t impact anyone’s plans before 5PM Friday.
