TWIN FALLS — A restaurant employee suffered burns and other injuries Tuesday morning after a small explosion occurred as she attempted to light cooking equipment at a downtown business.
Police closed down part of Main Avenue while the fire department and paramedics responded to a call after a small explosion was reported Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2024, at the Slice restaurant. A worker was injured in the blast.
The incident prompted the pizza restaurant Slice to close for the day with hopes of it re-opening Wednesday, according to a Facebook post.
“She is resting now and wanted to thank everyone for the kind words and prayers,” the restaurant’s post about the burn victim said, adding that she has been in “a lot of pain.”
