Gas line repairs set to impact traffic starting Dec. 3 [Video]

Drivers are encouraged to plan for detours or alternative routes to avoid delays.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Light, Gas and Water (MLGW) announced that gas line repairs will begin on Tuesday, Dec. 3 at the intersection of West Poplar Avenue and Byhalia Road. 

The repairs, necessary for maintaining and upgrading the city’s gas infrastructure, are expected to impact traffic for about two weeks according to MLGW.

To ensure a safe work zone, the two south lanes of W. Poplar Ave. at Byhalia Rd. (heading east) will be redirected until repairs are made.
