After receiving a master’s degree, Tian Shuxian made the rare decision to return to her rural hometown in China’s central Hubei Province to start an agricultural business. There, she helped farmers “get smarter” with modern technology and pioneered an integrated farming model that includes rice, crayfish and ducks.
