Since 2019, the Charlottesville Economic Development Authority has put on GO Start-Up, a free, four-week course designed to educate participants on what it takes to turn business ideas into business realities. This year’s course, which begins in September and meets every Wednesday at CitySpace on the Downtown Mall, is being taught by Keith Groomes, known widely as the owner of the Pie Guy food cart and catering company but also an entrepreneurship specialist with the economic development office.
