How Mom Reacted to Older Daughter Moving Away to Start Family Backed [Video]

The internet has rallied behind a mom for calling out her daughter she doesn’t see often.

Reddit user u/Ok_Maybe3830 is a mom of two—Emma, 28, and Lizzie, 25. Emma moved away for college and settled in a different state, where she now has a husband and a 2-year-old. Due to distance and financial constraints, her mother has had to rely heavily on FaceTime to fulfill her mother-of-the-bride duties and to be a present grandmother.

“When Emma was pregnant, I kept talking to her friends planning it, asking them to tell me when it was, so I could take enough time off work. Emma ended up changing the date and there was no way I could afford to fly out on top of taking time off, especially to be there after the baby was born (as Emma wanted),” the Redditor wrote in the post that has garnered 16,000 upvotes in the forum “Am I The A******?”
