How to keep my pet safe during freezing weather [Video]

Residents living on the Northshore could see cold temperatures Friday morning that could potentially bust pipes. There is a Cold Weather Advisory for all of the Northshore starting at midnight until 8 a.m. Friday. Actual temperatures will fall below the freezing mark, but wind chills will range from 18 to 25 degrees.The Humane Society urges all pet owners to keep their animals inside during the cold weather and to follow the below guidance:Bring them inside: If your dog is outdoors much of the day for any reason, they must be protected by a dry, draft-free shelter that is large enough to allow them to move comfortably but small enough to hold in body heat. The floor should be raised a few inches from the ground and covered with cedar shavings or straw.
