Hundreds turned out at the We Fight Back Rally in San Francisco Sunday afternoon. Dozens of progressive organizers from throughout the Bay Area were also present in what is the start of a mass movement nationwide.
Demonstrations were also seen in more than 70 cities across the nation Sunday.

Protesters at San Francisco’s march said they are fighting for workers’ rights, immigrant rights, environmental justice, and the end of the influence of billionaires in America’s political system.
“The people united will never be defeated” were among the chants protesters shouted as they marched around Civic Center.
“We are taking his threats very seriously, that on Day One of taking office, that Trump is promising mass deportations across the country. That’s exactly the reason we need millions of people on street to have a mass movement and that’s exactly what today is about,” said organizer Luna Osleger-Montanez.
