Ilika PLC (AIM:IKA, OTCQX:ILIKF) CEO Graeme Purdy takes Proactive’s Stephen Gunnion through the company’s progress in the first half of the year, focusing on its Stereax and Goliath battery projects.
Purdy highlighted the significant advances in transferring Stereax production to Cirtec’s Massachusetts facility, with commissioning nearly complete. The company plans to begin delivering commercial battery samples to customers in 2025. He also noted progress on the Goliath solid-state batteries, emphasising safety advantages demonstrated in a recent nail penetration test video, showcasing the battery’s superior stability.
Looking ahead, Ilika plans to unveil its D6 development milestone for Goliath, introducing larger pouch cells with a 10Ah capacity. These prototypes will undergo further testing and validation, with “A samples” expected by the end of 2025. Purdy assured investors of steady progress in the second half, maintaining full-year guidance and signalling upcoming updates.
