OROVILLE, Calif. – Crews are making progress on a new road safety project along Highway 162 in Oroville.
The city has made a lot of progress on the Highway 162 project. Adding portions of sidewalk and driveways between 5th and 7th Avenue, which was not there before.
But there is still work to be done. The city started on 5th Avenue and is currently working towards Spencer Avenue, adding a curb, gutter, and sidewalk and also making storm drain improvements.
Action News Now spoke with several businesses along Oro Dam Boulevard, but none of them wanted to go on camera.
But businesses including Oro Dam Liquors and Oroville Cycle say the work has harmed business and they are ready for it to be over. Other businesses like RCBS say they don’t mind the work since the project will benefit their …
