Kansas City Fire Department helps extinguish extensive overnight house fire [Video]

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – On Saturday, the Kansas City Fire Department shared dramatic photos from a house fire they helped another department put out.

The house is in the South Platte region, and KCFD said that because of its isolated location, the fire “had an extended head start.”

When crews arrived, they tried to extinguish the fire from the inside but were forced to evacuate and take an exterior approach. Everyone inside safely evacuated and no injuries were reported.

KCFD said six of their vehicles, including two pumpers, were sent to support the South Platte Fire Protection District.

The cause of the fire is unclear.
