LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Gov. Andy Beshear wants to keep all eyes on Kentucky as the state continues to boom economically.
Beshear touted successes like Ford and SK On’s $5.8 billion, 5,000-job BlueOval SK battery plant in Hardin County; Toyota’s $1.3 billion investment in Scott County, AESC’s $2 billion, 2,000-job Gigafactory project in Warren County and for having the longest period with the lowest unemployment rate in Kentucky’s history.
Beshear wants to build on that momentum with a new initiative called “New Kentucky Home.”
The initiative aims to showcase the state’s growing economy and its many qualities including its cultural richness and welcoming communities.
It hopes to bring more businesses into the state, boost tourism efforts and retain visitors who eventually call the commonwealth home.
