Shark Tank’s Kevin O’Leary fumed over Vice President Kamala Harris’s support of a capital gains tax, declaring it to be “un-American.”
O’Leary, who was born in Canada, joined Fox Business on Wednesday and argued he’s “okay” with Harris winning the presidency in November, so long as she actually explains some of her policies and starts doing live interviews. Her first interview since moving to the top of the Democratic Party ticket is on Thursday evening on CNN.
O’Leary got especially heated when discussing Harris’s proposal for a capital gains tax, which has faced some backlash. The tax on gains in capital, according to Harris’s campaign, would apply to individuals on people with more than $100 million.
Such plans have been tried before and always fail because they are not pragmatic, O’Leary argued.
