Kicking off the new year in style, local small business hosts namebrand giveaway [Video]

Hot Kikx’s Danial Ballut said he wanted to give back to the community that has supported him for more than 20 years by giving away clothes and shoes by the hundreds.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Hot Kikx is a small local retail store in west Toledo selling clothes and shoes from name-brands like Nike, Armani, Polo and Adidas.

Having been open since 2004, owner Danial Ballut said he’s had a loyal customer base at his Monroe Street store for so long and loves to give back when he can, especially to customers in need.

Ballut said he’s always willing to give to those in need because it just makes sense to help those who cannot help themselves. Recently, he had more than enough products that his giveaway would be bigger than normal.

While he never posted his donations online before, he decided to help more people by posting them. On Jan. 4, he posted about Hot Kikx’s donation.
