In East Tennessee, Chris Parrott’s affinity for rock ‘n roll is legendary. She’s attended hundreds of rock concerts. The band Aerosmith attended her wedding.

But the biggest rock star of Parrott’s life didn’t sell out arenas with guitar solos or vocal riffs; instead, she packed coliseums for her shows on the hardwood.

The late Pat Summitt led the University of Tennessee Lady Volunteers to more wins than any other basketball coach in NCAA history, while making sure every one of her players graduated with a degree.

Parrott met Summitt while still in middle school and admired her commitment to excellence and education ever since. As an Onsite Banking Coordinator, Parrott reflects on the late coach as she guides college students through financial fundamentals to make sure they have a firm foundation in life.
