RIDGELAND, Miss. (WLBT) – Cariel Ellis is starting a new soccer journey that begins overseas.
Madison Central and Holmes Community College graduate, Cariel Ellis, is taking her soccer skills to the next level. Ellis signed with the Melbourne City Football Club in Australia to play professional soccer.
This football club is one of the best professional soccer teams in Australia and Ellis is ready to contribute to the team in any way possible.
Saturday, she held a meet and greet with friends and family to sign posters and soccer balls and say her goodbyes. Before it was over, her former soccer coach, Wesley Noble, surprised her by retiring her jersey from Holmes Soccer.
She departs for Australia on Monday and is grateful for the opportunity and feels like it is all a dream come true.
