PEORIA (25News Now) – Metro Centre, one of Peoria’s most historic shopping areas, is changing ownership for the first time in 52 years.
Metro Centre is located off University Street. It opened in 1971.
Tenants were recently notified of the sale in a letter from the new landlord/owners, “T Peoria IL, LLC”, which is owned by the Tabani Group in Dallas, TX.
The now-former owner, Eric Brinker, released the following statement:
“After 52 wonderful years, the time came for our family to make the decision to sell Metro Centre. We are excited to see Metro thrive under new ownership for many years to come. We are incredibly proud of what we have built, the relationships we’ve established, and the friendships we’ve formed with our tenants over the years.”
