Mick Rees and Michelle Byrne appointed to lead Wilec Fire & Security [Video]

Fire protection and detection systems group WTech has announced the appointments of Mick Rees and Michelle Byrne to lead subsidiary Wilec Fire & Security.

Wicklow-based Wilec provides complete life safety and security system solutions to all sectors of the Irish and European marketplace, catering to clients ranging from small, single-site businesses to blue chip firms with multiple sites.

Rees has been named engineering director while Byrne has been appointed as operations director, and both have been with the company for more than a decade.

Rees started his career as a service technician for both fire and security systems and has worked for Wilec for 21 years, rising through the ranks, managing critical client sites and delivering successful outcomes for major pharmaceutical and data centre projects.

WTech said his in-depth technical expertise and proven project management skills have earned him a well-deserved reputation as an industry leader in the design and execution of integrated life safety and security systems.
