LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Millions of dollars are being funneled into making west Louisville a better place to work and live.
As part of the Russell Neighborhood Program, Fifth Third Bank has invested $40 million into the area in the last three years. The money is divided among several organizations that help residents with home repairs, home ownership and small-business grants, as well as education on building financial security.
Fifth Third Kentucky Regional President Kim Halbauer said the program has a solid foundation three years in and is poised to continue growing.
The program started in 2021, and the Russel neighborhood is one of nine neighborhoods selected nationwide to take part.
