Millions of Taxpayer Dollars ‘Spent on Magic,’ Senator Says [Video]

Senator Rand Paul, a Kentucky Republican, said on Friday that millions of taxpayer dollars were “spent on magic,” according to a preview of his annual Festivus report.

In an effort to “dismantle Government Bureaucracy, slash excess regulations, cut wasteful expenditures, and restructure Federal Agencies,” President elect-Donald Trump has appointed Tesla founder Elon Musk, along with entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, to lead what Trump called the “Department of Government Efficiency” or (DOGE).

No such department currently exists and the president-elect didn’t offer many details about how it would operate or how it would be staffed, if at all. According to Trump, DOGE “will provide advice and guidance from outside of Government, and will partner with the White House and Office of Management & Budget.”
