Monday Weather – Trade winds start to pick up, isolated showers, lots of sunshine | Local [Video]

Dry weather and strengthening trade winds will ease by the weekend. Rain may impact the east from Wednesday to Friday. A High Wind Warning is in effect for Big Island Summits, and a Small Craft Advisory is up until Wednesday evening. Surf will rise on north and west shores, with conditions normalizing midweek.

HONOLULU (Island News) — Dry conditions will continue through most of the week, with trade winds strengthening to breezy to strong levels by Wednesday and Thursday.

Winds will gradually decrease into the moderate range by Thursday night and through the weekend. An upper-level low will pass just south of the Big Island from Wednesday afternoon through Friday, bringing possible rain to the eastern half of the state that could last into the weekend.
