The ship is sailing as the season starts for Moriah High School Vikings’ basketball this week.Both the school’s boys’ and girls’ basketball teams are continuing to practice as they are looking to defend their Class C sectional championship titles from a season ago. “All it comes down to is who wants it more, and I know my team has the heart,” said Moriah girls’ basketball forward Madelyn Eichen.”It’s the same plan,” said Moriah boys’ basketball guard Cooper Allen. “We’re going after it just like any year.”The Moriah boys, who are winners of the last 12 sectional championships between Class C and D, are looking to make it back to the state final four after losing 67-59 in the Class C state semifinals to Haldane High School.
