REDDING, Calif. – Two Redding men have created an app to help attract locals and tourists alike to local restaurants in the “Shasta” region.
“Eat Shasta” is an app that was launched earlier this year by Redding business owner Spencer Marcki, and IT/app developer Larry Ramsey.
“A lot of times, I-5 is just a truck stop for Redding” Marcki explained on Monday. “So we really want to focus on getting people off the freeway to support our local businesses.”
In just two months, nearly 1,000 people have already downloaded the app.
