New JST facility coming to Guntersville [Video]

GUNTERSVILLE, Ala. — Japanese electronics manufacturer JST announced plan to build a new factory in Guntersville.

The Guntersville City Clerk’s Office confirmed that the facility will be located at Conners Island Business Park, near Lake Guntersville and the Guntersville Municipal Airport.

The company already has a production facility in Guntersville, with about 30 employees, which opened in 2003. The new facility will add 80 new positions to the operation.

This development comes as part of an effort to expand the area, adding more walking trails and restaurants as part of their environmental initiative.
