A contract dispute over trash collection in the New Orleans’ French Quarter has sparked controversy and legal action. Businessman Troy Henry’s company, recently awarded the contract, faces allegations from two council members of making unauthorized changes, including price hikes and adding a partner. Council Vice President J.P. Morrell and Council President Helena Moreno are calling for the contract to be rebid, citing concerns over legality and increased costs.
