New restaurant lined up at Park Road WSOC TV [Video]

CHARLOTTE — Park Road Shopping Center appears to be adding a California-based restaurant to its offerings. A site plan for the retail center shows Mama’s Comfort Food & Cocktails as a tenant.

It will take over the former Cantina 1511 site, which has been vacant since that restaurant’s ownership shuttered all locations abruptly in August 2023. That will make Mama’s Comfort Food neighbors with fast-casual Mediterranean concept Cava.

The concept dishes up hearty portions, with a broad menu that features favorites with a twist, such as fried chicken, homemade meatloaf and mac and cheese.
