Slowdowns across the state and in the Triad are pushing back appointments for residents and leading to long wait times for walk-ins. DMV Communications Manager Marty Homan said it is a combination of not enough staff and high demand. “It’s kind of a numbers game,” Homan said. “You know, there are only so many people we can get to in a day, taken care of with the amount of people we have.
