A series of storms and atmospheric rivers brought inches of rain to Northern California.
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Cities across Northern California are already reporting double if not triple the amount of rain for November than the average year. Two atmospheric rivers toward the end of the month accounted for most of the rain, with the highest and record setting daily rain for Nov. 22, coming in at 2″.
The month kicked off with the first storm system on Nov. 1, bringing in a weak atmospheric river. This dropped about a .3-.5″ of rain from Sacramento, north.
The week of Nov. 10-16 brought in two more storms with .19” on Nov. 11 and .2” for Nov. 14 in Downtown Sacramento.
Finally, it was the second half of the month that truly gave an exceptional push to the rain totals. From Nov. 20-26, 3.13” of rainfall was recorded downtown. This made up a majority of the precipitation for the month, …
