MAINE (WABI) – The Department of Labor has doubled the number of available work visas for 2025.
Senators Angus King and Susan Collins announced that starting the next fiscal year, there will be nearly 131,000 H-2B visas for temporary nonagricultural workers.
That beat the previous available number of visas each year which was 66,000.
Collins and King says this will help small Maine businesses who continue to face staffing shortages, especially during the winter tourism season.
